If you want to know a lot about me, I suppose I could start with the basics. My name is Madeleine, and usually I'll be lenient and allow people to call me Maddie. This is mostly because people can't seem to remember there's a second 'e' after the 'l' and in the end, it's just easier to say 'oh yeah, my name's Maddie... no, there's no y, it's ie.'

I'm fifteen, going on sixteen years old, and enrolled in my own little academic hell known as the International Baccalaureate Programme. This means that my classes are hard, the teachers expect more, and I can't giggle when people say the word 'sex'. Not that I giggle anyway, but if I wanted to, I couldn't. XD

For most of my life I lived in Oregon. I was born in San Francisco, and I moved to Colorado in the middle of my freshman year. Admittedly, I've learned more being here than I have in Oregon or anywhere else, but I'd still love to have some more rain. In Colorado I became acquainted with a wonderful music called 'classic rock' which I then became obsessed with, and I admit this with great pride. Throughout my life, I've always liked the older films, especially things with Ralph Macchio, whom I love to blame for all vintage/retro!love in my life. C: I try not to snub people because of their music tastes, but I have to admit, it's hard to get along with people who drool over The Jonas Brothers.

My journal is Friends Only because I've come to realize that people can still be creepy and stalker-ish on Livejournal. Not that I've met any. Or will meet any. But It's nice to be safe, innit?

IRL, I'm pretty easy to get along with but I don't really say a lot. Really, I'm pretty shy (could this be because I don't socialize a lot outside the internet? Don't even suggest such a thing!) and after some kind of meeting I'll come out of my shell a little bit. This is, you know, just in case you somehow track me down. I can be sarcastic, but nearly everyone is sarcastic these days, so I'm not too special. Unless you count my tendency to use large, exaggerated hand motions like they're going out of style.

As a teenager, you can expect to find accounts of my activities. This involves school, more school, work, and the occasional outing to a record store. Because I'm addicted to buying vinyl. Sometimes you might find a meme or some drawings, maybe something I wrote, but for the most part it's what you can find on most other blogs. Except maybe a little less emo (or I try to make it less emo, we can never be sure how un-emo it will end up).

Besides this, you can find me being an obsessive fangirl. I try to not stalk as much as I would like to, which is where my favourite rock stars being dead comes in handy, and I try to keep the squealing and capslock to a minimum.
